Mainframe, MVS and zOS Discussion

Hi,

What is the scope of mainframe technology now a days? Please throw some light on the career scope of mainframe as we have cloud computing servers available now? What is in future for us who start our career now?

The future of mainframes is a topic that comes up every month or two. Have you searched the forum and read previous responses?

You seem to be thinking cloud computing will replace mainframes. IBM is spending a lot of time and money convincing people that the mainframe fits in the cloud.

Furthermore, a lot of IT leaders have expressed concern about the security of data in the cloud and hence a lot of mainframe processing may NEVER be moved to the cloud.
