Mainframe, MVS and zOS Discussion

IBM provides the recordio package for accessing zOS datasets from JAVA, but I seem to miss to see see a way to specify SMS parmeters and/or access uncatalogued datasets. Can someone please help in this regard.

What SMS parameters do you think you need in order to access data sets from Java? And it is unlikely that you will be able to access uncataloged data sets in Java -- if you can do so you would have to provide volume serial and unit information for the data set. However, to confirm this you should open a PMR with IBM.
