Hi,

I was going through JCL manual and there I saw places where there were talking about APPC and NON-APPC scheduling environment

Googling it didn't answer me to the point

Is there a manual which talks about it and based on your experience could you explain APPC for me?

Thanks

Scheduling environments are part of Workload Manager and can be found in the MVS bookshelf in the MVS Planning: Workload Management book. APPC refers to IBM'S Advanced Peer-to-Peer Communications method (also known as LU6.2) which allows, for example, CICS regions on different machines (even from different companies) to connect and run transactions.
