hi,

I've started working with File-Aid - can anybody please help me to find out a link or document for learning Batch File-Aid? As I think the manual for File-Aid is under copyright, I'm using online help but this is not very helpful.

Thanks

As long as your site is licensed for File Aid then you have access to the manuals. The manuals may be hard-copy at your site, or they may be located on an internal web site at your site, or you may have to go to the Compuware support site (http://go.compuware.com), register (which requires the site ID number Compuware assigned to your site), and then you can download the manuals yourself. The manual you want is the File Aid Batch Reference Manual for your version of File Aid.

UPDATE: The site ID can be found through the batch interface (it is in the page header) or through the TSO interface (option 0 for parameters, option 1 for system parameters) at the top of the screen.

And for examples on batch File-Aid you can also see this thread, which is an excellent collection of File-Aid commands: http://ibm-mainframes.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=57
