301 z/OS Introduction and Workshop (Live virtual class).

This class is an introduction to the z/OS environment. The objective is to provide attendees with familiarity with z/OS and the z/OS application development environment. This class introduces detailed concepts that include:
• z/OS access and navigation using TSO/ISPF/SDSF, FTP, SSHD, and RDz (Rational Developer for System z)
• z/OS JCL, Data Access Methods, and System Catalog Structure
• z/OS Configuration, Initialization, and System Commands
• JES, DFSMS/ISMF, RACF, Communications Server, and SMP/E
• CICS, DB2, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQSeries, and IMS
• System z virtualization, Parallel Sysplex and Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex
• Services available at IBM Innovation Centers
• Remote programs to provide access to System z hardware & software
