The Business Rules service hosted in Bluemix and powered by Operational
Decision Manager allows you to define, deploy, and maintain business rules and
policies separately from your application code. To demonstrate the benefits of
decoupling the lifecycle of the calling application from the business logic
(rules) running in a cloud service, we build a simple hotel booking
application in a Node.js runtime bound to a Business Rules service that
calculates the booking rates. This article will show you how to deploy and
execute business rules in the cloud environment. You will then be able to
extend this application with more complex rules or build your own application
very easily.
