Can a mainframe computer host a website?

Hi,

It has been told that mainframes can do anything, so Can a mainframe computer host a website?

( for example googling with - zOS zLINUX zVM web support )

At a previous employer, I developed the internal IT web site and hosted it on the mainframe for more than 10 years. The web site had many pages with HTML, some GIF and JPG pictures, and we did not use z/VM -- this was all done in Unix System Services on a z/OS machine.
