Re: Where do you live?
Just read about the etymology of the name Italy and rather "Italia"; quite an interesting one (emphasis added by me):MarcoAprea wrote:I'm from Italy, born at Napoli, but work where they need!
The assumptions on the etymology of the name "Italia" are very numerous and the corpus of the solutions proposed by historians and linguists is very wide. According to one of the more common explanations, the term Italia, from Latin: Italia, was borrowed through Greek from the Oscan Víteliú, meaning "land of young cattle" (cf. Lat vitulus "calf", Umb vitlo "calf"). The bull was a symbol of the southern Italic tribes and was often depicted goring the Roman wolf as a defiant symbol of free Italy during the Social War. Greek historian Dionysius of Halicarnassus states this account together with the legend that Italy was named after Italus, mentioned also by Aristotle and Thucydides.

Excellent - I had been looking for someone from Adabas/Natural - it's tough to get skilled members in this field. It'd be nice to see you your participation in the Other Databases on zOS part of the forum. There are some topics on Adabas/Natural in that part which can still be refined.
It's nice to see you here - have a nice time here,
Thanks,
Anuj

Re: Where do you live?
Okay, on a lighter note - what's the meaning of the word "Mouska"?
PS. You can choose not to answer it though I ask this because there is a "Hindi" word, which phonetically sound like it and has an interesting meaning.
