RESTART=* in the JOB card.

Hi,
What does a RESTART=* does in the Job card, can someone please help me on that?
Is not it that it should be like RESTART=(*,CKPT), where CKPT is the check point. But with out a reference to a checkpoint, what does not mean? I looked at https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... ameter.htm but I could not explain RESTART=* to myself.
