Hi,

We have an internal competition where are different teams are involved to create the AI (Artificial Intelligence) BOTs. Is it possible to create such an interface and idea on mainframes? If someone have an idea, please share.

the question as posted does not give enough information for a proper reply

I wonder why somebody involved into AI is not even capable of posting a question with the proper details

quoting some AI guru ...
Artificial Intelligence will never substitute Natural Stupidity

If you can do it on a Unix or Windows box, you can (generally) do it on a mainframe. Since you did not specify anything (such as a language or any of the parameters for the AI bots), a more precise answer cannot be given.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies.

We can use any language of choice. The Bot should be able to solve some business issue. Our domain is supply chain management. There are no specific business challenge given to us. It'll be given on the day of the challenge.

We can make use of machine learning, Python and or HTML, CSS for front end.

The concept of the bot should give a prototype of the solution which can scaled later but the prototype should be functional enough.

From the February 15, 2017 issue of InfoWorld at http://www.infoworld.com/article/317057 ... r-zos.html :
If you're intrigued by IBM's Watson AI as a service, but reluctant to trust IBM with your data, Big Blue has a compromise. It's packaging Watson's core machine learning technology as an end-to-end solution available behind your firewall.

Now the bad news: It'll only be available to z System / z/OS mainframe users ... for now.

From start to finish

IBM Machine Learning for z/OS isn't a single machine learning framework. It's a collection of popular frameworks -- in particular Apache SparkML, TensorFlow, and H2O -- packaged with bindings to common languages used in the trade (Python, Java, Scala), and with support for "any transactional data type." IBM is pushing it as a pipeline for building, managing, and running machine learning models through visual tools for each step of the process and RESTful APIs for deployment and management.

Thanks Robert. Do you know if there are some bots being used already using mainframe as back-end? Reading the article now.

It's how you name it.. An Automation idea could be called a AI BOT..

Any automation idea could qualify for A BOT.. Have you thought any?

AI is something that can think on its own and act of course you need to program for those think n act 😊

Rather asking for idea , come up with a idea and work on it and reach out when you have technical challenges someone will be here to guide you
