Hi,

What is EXCP in SDSF? I have searched about it and the definition is like this
EXCP is EXecute Channel Program. This number refers to the num of I/O signal between mainframe and console.

What is I/O signal? Is it talking about inout/output data transfer? But if it is true, why it's hsowing up only in SDSF and what is the meaning of it there?

An EXCP is an EXecute Channel Program and is basically a count of the I/O being done. It shows up a number of places (SMF records, for example), not just in SDSF, and if your site has the exit specified, JES may provide the EXCP count in the step statistics. It is significant because (1) it gives a rough measure of the I/O your program is doing, and (2) if the program is I/O-bound the elapsed time will be determined by how fast the I/O get done.

Thank you Robert. If I see an EXCP in the SYSOUT of a job that and what I see in the SDSF, are they in direct relation to each other?
