Check out this tool

PDSEGEN is an ISPF dialog that works makes working with Member
Generations easy and intuitive. Included with PDSEGEN is the ability
to Backup all member and generations, retaining all ISPF statistics,
to a normal PDS that can be processed by any software that works
with a PDS (e.g. IEBCOPY, TSO Transmit, etc.). There is a Restore
capability to restore the backup PDS to a PDSE with all members and
generations in tact. Another tool included is the ability to Copy
PDSE members with their generations. In addition to those you can
Browse and View any member or generation, Edit the base member (edit
is prevented on non-0 generations until JCL and dynamic allocation
enable access to them at which point PDSEGEN can be changed to allow
Edit on non-0 generations. The capability is also provided to
compare 2 generations (non-0 to 0 and non-0 to non-0). And more.

Hi Lbdyck,

May be it is only me who feels like this but most of your posts are like if you are endorsing yourself? Is not it that if you get involved with the Forum in answering, it'll help us all for better community and your solutions will also get better responses!? :)

DB2 Guy - I'm sorry you feel that way. I was hoping that the information would be helpful for others who are looking to take advantage of pdse member generations. I have been answering some questions in the community but realize i'm new to this forum so haven't had time to answer a lot.
