Qualifications
[ul][li]Four (4) years of professional consultative, technical, or administrative experience designing, constructing, or analyzing information systems. Two years of this experience must include IBM mainframe programming in COBOL (batch and online), CICS, and JCL. AND EITHER:[/li]
[li](a) At least 30 quarter (20 semester) credits in computer science. OR[/li]
[li](b) Two more years of experience providing a knowledge of information systems theory and principles.[/li]
[li]Examples of experience providing a knowledge of information systems theory and principles are:[/li][/ul]
[ol][li]Providing technical consultation and advice to managers, technical and professional IS staff, and system users in planning, analyzing, developing, and implementing the operation, maintenance, installation, modification, and construction of information systems.[/li]
[li]Working with vendors and contracted personnel to assess new technology, provide oversight, exchange information, and solve problems.[/li][/ol]

• Demonstrated skill in the following:
◦ Hierarchical & Relational Data Base Structures (preferably IMS and DB2)
◦ IBM Debug Tool for z/OS
◦ IBM File Manage for z/OS
◦ Systems Development Lifecycle Methodology (SDLC)
◦ Structured Design, Analysis, and Testing
