A dynamic global team, comprised of the z Systems Software team, is looking to hire entry-level professionals. The candidate must be highly driven and technically prepared to join a world-class team which develops the most challenging and complex systems in the world.
We develop, test and support operating systems (z/OS), and IBM storage software Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem (DFSMS) for IBM Mainframe Systems. Nearly 100% of all credit card transactions, 92% of the top 100 global banks, 90% of Fortune 500 companies, and 80% of the world’s corporate data depend on the IBM Mainframe System z. For a half-century, the mainframe has transformed how we travel, enabled secure banking, improved how city agencies service citizens, and dramatically reduced traffic congestion.
Opportunities for Software engineers exist across the development life-cycle and include code design/writing/porting, function test, system test, customer support, and product documentation. Candidates must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment requiring demonstrated teaming skills with peers across the different stages of the development life-cycle. Candidates should have team-based development knowledge or experience. Programming language skills (e.g, C, assembler, PLX, JCL), Software design, coding, test, problem determination skills and oral and written communication skills.

Job Requirements:

[li]Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.[/li]
