Mainframe, MVS and zOS Discussion

Role Description:
Responsible for development and implementation of applications using Mainframe technologies and also should be responsible for Build/Deployment and Support of the application. The identified resource will need to be in constant verbal and written contact with key stakeholders and peers in India and U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

• · Developing Batch Applications using Mainframe technologies that execute on a mainframe Environment
  
  · Deployment of Code into production
  
  · Hands-on Experience in developing applications using JCL,CICS, DB2, VSAM, Cobol, Platinum is must
  
  · Knowledge on Mainframe REXX/Intertest/Stored Procedures is an added advantage
  
  · Design and estimation of the modules responsible for the development using best practices
  
  · Peer testing, code review and Impact analysis of the modules developed by the other team members
  
  · Collaborate with peers and superiors on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer"s service experience
  
  · Identify inadequately documented areas/processes and ensure documentation is created

Candidate Description

• · Minimum 4 plus years of experience in development and implementation of mainframes applications
  
  · Should possess strong hands-on development/design skills in mainframes
  
  · Good experience in DB2 database and experience in writing stored procedures
  
  · Strong time management and planning skills required
  
  · Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  
  · Creative, energetic, assertive hands-on professional who enjoys the challenge of change
  
  · Should have the ability to test and debug advanced code
  
  · Must be adaptable in a changing environment and be effective in many different business settings.
  
  · Familiarity with iterative life cycle tools and techniques desired
  
  · Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  
  · Creative, energetic, assertive hands-on professional who enjoys the challenge of change

Qualifications :

• · Minimum 4 plus years of experience in development and implementation of mainframes applications
  
  · Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
