Create a "list of items".

Post by Jagjeet Dayal »

Hi,

On this site, while writing how can we create a "list of items", like in Microsoft word? Like below example:

Item 1
item 2
item 3

This should come with numbers or bullet points?

If I understand correctly, you're likely referring to the [ list ] and/or [ list= ] tags that can be utilized in the editor as follows:
  • Point 1
  • Point 2
  • Point 3
OR
  1. Point 1
  2. Point 2
  3. Point 3
Below demonstrates their usage, simply remove the spaces within "list" to use them:

[ list ]

[*] Point 1
[*] Point 2
[*] Point 3

[ /list ]

OR

[ list=1 ]

[*] Point 1
[*] Point 2
[*] Point 3

[ /list ]

Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Anuj

If you click on the Post Reply button (not the Quick Reply), you will see a row of icons. The fifth and sixth icons from the left are for lists.

The editor has been updated, it gives a better interface and you can use keyboard short-cuts now, like 'ctrl+b' to bold the text. Though keeping this editor compatible with websites' software is cumbersome. As such "list" is not available now but if you know how to work with it, it'd still work.
Thanks,
Anuj

Thanks Anuj. This is much easier.

Have you found the updated editor's interface and keyboard shortcuts, like 'ctrl+b' for bold text, more convenient for your writing needs?
