Is IMS better than DB2 in the times of NoSQL?
Is IMS better than DB2 in the times of NoSQL?
Is IMS better than DB2 in the times of NoSQL. This question becomes relevant for me as I am about to work in a project where IMS is used as Database. Can you Please share your thoughts?

Re: Is IMS better than DB2 in the times of NoSQL?
IMS is a different database than DB2. I Googled ims sql and got back 635,000 hits with some of them on the first page being from IBM talking about using SQL to access IMS databases, so merely thinking IMS means no SQL is an erroneous assumption. Furthermore, there are still plenty of shops using IMS so knowing IMS and DB2 increases your marketability as a programmer.
