Hi,

We've got the follwoing error in production JCL:

IEF453I USD002PU - JOB FAILED - JCL ERROR - TIME=00.31.59

But when I looked at JCL which failed, it does not show any obvious JCL error! I'm searching for it online but if someone has faced it before please guide me.

Look at the JES messages for the job. When there is a JCL error in an existing job stream, it frequently is because a data set no longer exists for one reason or another. If so, the JES messages will indicate the missing data set(s).

Thanks Robert. That was the case, as part of regular cleaning activity GDG base was deleted. But we wonder how come a GDG used weekly can come under cleaning activity. We're working with our storage team. Thanks for your answer.
