Process Overview

Global Banking and Markets Technology provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Banking and Markets businesses including Treasury, Credit, Payments, Transaction Banking, Equities Trading, Prime Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. Across all these products, solutions include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GBAMT provides Sales, CRM, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses. The Tech with Ops portfolio consists of a diverse set of team members from across Operations, Technology Delivery and Architecture organizations. These team work together to implement ideas generated out of the Tech with Ops collaboration. The team is constituted with a combination of Execution Architects, Business Solution Management, Development, Testing and Support teams.

Job Description

Individual act as a bridge between Change Management and Technology, ensuring that the software build and/or hardware provisioning is delivered according to plan, quality and process. Provide full project management of the software development, including facilitating and coordinating the technical resources across multiple teams and platforms throughout the project life-cycle.

Responsibilities

Act as a Technical Delivery Manager for Software development and/or hardware provisioning:
Ensure complete understanding of the Development Estimate and project scope
Participate as required in project steering committee and governance meeting.
Create and execute development plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Liaise between Technology staff and Change Managers and act as the main contact for technical project delivery
Manage the Technology risks throughout the project.
Facilitate and chair regular status meetings with the technology teams
Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations around the project
Work both within technology and business teams to improve process and quality of delivery.
Keep track of lessons learned and share both with team members and across the department.
Use to help build departmental Best Practice.
Comply with and actively support standard policies, processes and procedures.
Requirements

Education: B.E./ B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/BSC/MSC/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
Certifications If Any: NA
Experience Range: 8 to 10 years
Mandatory skills
Delivery exposure on IBM Mainframe technology.
Has core Project Management skills and proven track record in technical project management.
Experience of various SDLC methodologies, particularly Waterfall, Agile and Six Sigma.

Business Analysts, Consultants and Subject Matter Experts
Development and testing experience
Business sponsors and Change Managers
Business user groups (as/if required).
Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills as well as effective Relationship Management. Able to interact professionally with a diverse group at all levels, including:
Strong negotiation skills and able to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism. Can communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Desired skills
Can successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, juggle multiple projects, and use own initiative to meet deadlines and set priorities without close supervision.
Strong team player both internally and across multiple teams within a project.
Able to both consider the “big picture” of a development as well as more detailed component levels.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Pro-active, adaptable and results driven.
