What is the meaning of C/P in Control-M?

Hi,

What is the meaning of C/P in Control-M? I understand that C stands for Cancel and P stands for Post. Canvel I understand but what does post mean?

We do not have access to the Control-M manuals. You do. Please refer to them and then answer your own question so that we may learn as well.

Since Control-M is workload automation (job scheduler) software, posting most likely refers to fulfilling a requirement so that a job can execute.

C/P is not an acronym. An acronym is a word made from the letters of the full name of something e.g. SCUBA is an acronym of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.

When something like C/P is used in a manual it should have a description of what it stands for the first time it is used. Otherwise you will have to get its meaning from the context within which it is used.
