How to identify the program is IMS DC?
How to identify the program is IMS DC?
As looking at CICS program we can look for EXEC CICS and can say that it is an online program. How to identify the program is IMS DC in similar way?
Thanks,
Anil

Look for the IMS API or any IMS specific keywords - PCB PSB etc.

Yes, but if it's IMS DC and not IMS DB, how would you tell?

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Re: How to identify the program is IMS DC?
All the IMS program have same structure. Like Procedure Division having USING with PCB names, I/O Area. Linkage will have PCBs as per the PSB used in program. Then what differentiate one with other type of program?
Thanks,
Anil

If the program is using IO-PCB it's an IMS DC program. Read about IO-PCBs more, please.
