When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Re: Does IMS support Web services?
Thanks Enrico. In one of the meetings a question was raised why IMS DC is not used in our system? Actually we use IMS as database while the online system is CICS. One of the senior said that there is a possibility that they wanted to use Web-services when they took decision long back to use online system. Back then possibly IMS didn't support Web-services while CICS did. But searching all over I could not find out if web-services were supported by IMS first or by CICS?

the decision to use IBM/DC rather than CICS does not usually depend on small details like that one
and more probably the decision was taken loong time before anybody knew about the term WEB services
