Hi Mukul,
Please let me know, how do you want it to be displayed? I'll do it for you.
P.S.: Alternately (usually) you can create a thread in Suggestions, Feedback, Fun & About the Forum part of the Forum and it'll be worked upon.

Hi Moderator. Is it possible I attach a file in my question some way?
I read Why can’t I add attachments? but I didn't understand if I can or can't.

You should be able to attach the file. What is the extension of the file? And what error do you get when you try?
Thanks,
Anuj

Re: Are You Lost? Ask a Moderator!
However, be aware that some people will not look at attachments, some people are not allowed to look at attachments and some simply cannot be bothered. The first two cases are for security reasons - we do not know what is in the attachment and the third is "if you don't make it easy for somone to help you why should they help you?". If the attachments are automatically displayed, as some forums do, then it defeats the purpose of having an attachment.
Regards

What setting do I need to ensure that any replies to threads I've posted in are automatically sent to my registered e-mail
(assuming this is doable) ?

Click here and look at the third option under the "NOTIFICATION TYPE". On theright of that, select the check box of your choice.

Re: Are You Lost? Ask a Moderator!
Just to confirm we're on the same page, the first 3 options there are :-
Your topics/posts are approved or disapproved by a moderator
Someone replies to a topic you have bookmarked
Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed
all of which are checked for both e-mail and notification. However, I don't seem to be getting any e-mail notifications (for example, your append above should have resulted in an e-mail shouldn't it ?)

Re: Are You Lost? Ask a Moderator!
No that's not the default behavior unless you are subscribed to the post.
There are couple of things to know, which should help it set straight:
1. You won't get notified "by default" even for your own topics unless you select the " Notify me when a reply is posted" (as shown in the picture below) while starting your topic:
2. Once you've made the first post in your topic, there are two ways to make follow up reply now:
- Quick Reply - This is that box, which is shown by default, down below in every topic. If you search (ctrl + F) "Quick Reply" in any topic you'll see it. 'Quick Reply' won't show you the check box for "Notify me when a reply is posted". As the name suggests, it's only for "quick" replies.
- Post Reply - It's another button just under the "Quick Reply" box, above "WHO VISITED THIS TOPIC". If you click on it, a full "edit box" with all options will be shown. There you'll see "Notify me when a reply is posted". If you click on it, you'll get the email notification.
4. As the emails from this board can be new for your email-client and the e-mail body has URLs - it might so happen that the emails go to junk folder. Check there please.
Hope this helps.

Re: Are You Lost? Ask a Moderator!
But should not we get the email for every reply, that is helpful anyways?

To get the email "by default", you'd need to subscribe to the Forums you want to get emails for, on a new post. The link to "subscribe forum" is at bottom:

Re: Are You Lost? Ask a Moderator!
Is it just me that is getting LOADS of e-mails titled "Mainframe, MVS & zOS Discussion Weekly Digest". At the same time, I followed the link at the bottom of the mail, looked in my User Control Panel which told me I wasn't following any discussions. The actual e-mail seems to be the same every time. One bit about
and one bit aboutForum: Site Announcements and Forum Rules.
Topic: Board was disabled for maintenance.
Forum: The Books and The History.
Topic: Rexx history
