When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort 8-)

New look is great and This was what I was talking about :)

There are some minor bugs in calendar though pressing next or prev month goes to a different page though the month changes

Blogs needs more hits so it needs to stay on top

And it is good to have frequently asked questions to be in the blog and give the links under each forum..

Was there some post I missed?

By the way, this look is not a new one, really. It has been there and one could select of this choice from the drop-down menu named "style", under the user name on top right corner. I've just made this style as default for all the users.
Thanks,
Anuj

OTOH, if you've not noticed it yet - we have a "Portal" page too now at: http://www.zmainframes.com/app.php/portal

Info on the right of the screen takes up space that could be used for displaying more of a post. Don't need stats, don't need calendar (there is one on the task bar), don't need 'menu' - unread topics are in red, don't need blog (not yet looked at it).

Now I can get new posts without having to click on Quick links. Positive for me.

But new posts come up in the first section - Recent Topics. In fact, that is how I got here.

We still have the portal up and running though. That "clutter" came from that only. It does not stay on rest of the forum now, however.

Hi,

Can we not have the posrtal as the front page of the website? That will be rather good? What do you think?

Sound like a good idea, I can do that and we can observe how it goes, unless someone else thinks otherwise.
Thanks,
Anuj

NOPE

it has lots of decorative info, but the only info that is really needed is the new/recent topics
and that appears in the index page ( forum view )

clicked on portal just once
cheers
