Preloading of IMS Transactions as part of performance tuning

Post by Avadhesh Tiwari »

Hi,

Have any one of you done Preloading of IMS Transactions as part of performance tuning?

If yes, could you please advice various verification methods to make sure whether concerned IMS program is preloaded into main memory or not. One of the option given was to use TSO ISRDDN LOAD <Program Name>. Please share other methods to verify the same.

Or in general if I've to apply this to a COBOL program, not necesarily an IMS program, how can I test if the program is pre-loaded?

One of the things I can think of is - RENT compiler option might be of interest here.
