Change in editor.

Post by Anuj Dhawan » Wed Mar 09, 2016 8:17 am

Hi,

You'll see a new 'editor box'. By 'editor box', I'm referring to the area where we type in our posts. This is a wysiwyg editor. With this in place, you can use key-board short cuts now. For example, to make the selected-text bold, just select the text and press ctrl+b.

Hope this will make life better.

Thanks,
Anuj

Code: Select all

Hope this will make life better.
******* **** NO ... it makes it a lot worse ,

the WYSIWYG thingy

it is really bad for the CODE and the quotes
and makes it impossible to undo it

even if after the submit the look is like the previous one

and makes things even worse when editing an existing post

and using the mouse to select something most often results in the whole ******** window being selected and swearing on my side.

and trying to correct a

I am giving up...

and it is almost impossible to fix a BBcode tag

that' s why the quote is not with the quote tag, but with the code tag

ten minutes to write this post without being able to use the mouse to select some text subset

I give up.

Fix it please

and the editing window to edit a post is really too small

the WYSIWIG editor is the reason that this post looks like being posted by somebody suffering of the equivalent of [font=sans-serif]Dyslexia for writing[/font]

cheers
enrico
When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort 8-)

Please allow me to have some time and I'll try to bring back the basic set-up.

OTOH, 'editing window' can be adjusted using the bottom right corner of the 'editing window'. Take your mouse to the right bottom corner, when you see the hand-icon, click left mouse button and drag - window size will change. This applies to both, "Quick Reply" and "Full editor":

Forgot to mention that when you are in "Full Editor and Preview" and click on the right most button (View Source (ctrl+shift+s)) the editor will have at basic level, possibly that can be of interest. Please see the picture below it shows the button I just mentioned about:
