We are looking for a QA Lead Analyst within the TS Core Treasury Services Mainframe Team. The candidate will be required to have mainframe skills and/or appropriate business and operational knowledge of the FTS (high value Funds Transfer System), GACH (global Low Value payments system) and RPS (Receivables Processing System) applications. This will need to be underpinned with strong analytical ability along side strong QA principles with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Department Description
The department is responsible for the support and development of Low and High Value payments systems. Treasury Services has a global Client base. The FTS, GACH and RPS are in-house developed applications using Adabas Natural with FTS also having extensive development of COBOL for online processing under CICS.
About TS Technology
TS International Technology is a global technology organization that is responsible for the systems processing for international Treasury Services branches in EMEA, Asia & LATAM. The team responsible for Low and High Value payments, DDA, and local clearing links for these branches as well as a number of global utilities, SWIFT and OFAC. The team is based in Bournemouth, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tampa and San Paulo.
Key Skills - Essential
- Proven knowledge and experience of some of the following technologies is strongly desirable:-
- Excellent analytical skills and can demonstrate proven track record in functional testing of finance based applications, preferably a payments application
- Capable of analysing complex requirements and design specifications and design test cases to prove specifications
- Excellent functional testing experience with a proven track record in leading a manual testing team
- Excellent non-functional testing experience with a proven track record in leading a performance test team
- Good domain knowledge of banking sector application, preferably Treasury orientated applications.
- ISEB Qualified Software testing accredited or equivalent.
- Excellent understanding of testing methodology and analytical skills to ensure functional condition coverage is exhaustive
- Experience of using test management tool HP Quality Center
- Excellent communication skills with experience of status reporting with senior stakeholders
- A self starter who can adapt and respond effectively to changing requirements and priorities
- Excellent attention to detail with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with demonstrative experience in managing teams and complex execution plans.
- Previous experience working with Mainframe technologies with knowledge of various payment & credit message types.
- Experience of working in client/vendor staffed test teams.
- Previous experience leading small/medium sized teams of peers towards joint/team goals.
- In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, (SDLC), process.
- An ability to perform risk/impact analysis as part of a risk based testing approach.
- The ability to work, influence and integrate into a diverse and global team.
- The ability to self-govern, to be flexible, to prioritise and manage their own time to meet sometimes tight program deadliness.
- The ability to create quality deliverables that are prepared to a high standard, requiring a minimum of rework or peer-review.
- Experience performing peer-level reviews of test scripts, test execution results and other testing deliverables, providing feedback in a measured/positive manor.
- Candidates need to be flexible to manage workload around critical deadlines.
- Attend all design walkthrough's and review all Mainframe design documentation, ensuring that functional requirementsstandards have been considered and identify and raise any functional issues.
- Review and identify regression impacts of all functional changes and ensure that they are documented and incorporated in the automated regression test suite
- Working with the Mainframe Automation team to assisting in implementing the automation strategy.
Key Skills - Desirable - Experience using HP Quick Test Professional, (QTP) for record/replay automated test case execution and/or code level scripting.
