Brief Introduction about PickYourTrail:

What: one stop shop for personalised vacations crafted by Travellers. Why: Your solution to rigid packaged tours; impersonal & uninspiring vacation itineraries by travel agents; cumbersome and fragmented self planning. Who: The founders have travelled to 28 countries between them. (predominantly Asia+Europe which maps the Indian outbound traveller well. 95% of outbound travel from India is to South East Asia + Europe). They have been to 25 indian states (travelled extensively in the top 5 states visited by Inbound travellers - KA, TN, KL, RJ, UP). Product Vision: Build an eco system for vacations. Vacations have 4 broad stages with different users across these stages. The product would have to seamlessly integrate all the 4 stages and the associated users. (4 stages - Inspire, Plan, Book, Experience) How: Deep understanding of personal desires (why you want to travel rather than where you want to travel). Planners build itinerary (currently done by founders, will scale to be a by invite social platform for travellers who love planning) Automated Booking Engine Travel Genie - A unique offering to ease and enhance the overall vacation! Given we are part of the entire process, we will have all the data points need to not only ease (offline maps, remainders, evouchers etc) but also enhance (restaurant suggestions,changing itinerary on the fly, support etc).

Soft Skills:

1. Understands and appreciates that chaos/randomisation is the only constant at a startup. 2. Passionate self starter who is open to getting his hands dirty in the short term. 3. In the long run he should be able to build and scale teams. 4. Envision and manage the growth of tech vertical to compliment business growth 5. Must be able to articulate clearly. 6. Prior experience of high energy and stress environments - an added plus

Technical Requirements:

1. Need a full stack developer 2. Experience in building scalable products 3. Believes that UI/UX are important 4. Comfortable with cloud based deployments 5. Android/IOS app development know how is a plus 6. handling multiple API,XML calls and integrations

Roles & Responsibility:

1. Manage cloud infra and deployments 2. own the end to end prod dev and enhancements 3. prior experience in recruiting and building a team 4. Product will involve both building exceptional user experiences as well as adoption of newer technologies.

Note on Founders:

Hari Ganapathy - Ex-InMobi and Alumni of the 2009 batch of IIM Bangalore. Hari is the Hustler @PickYourTrail. Hari has dabbled roles across Investment banking, Technology, Sales and Marketing.

Srinath S - Alumni of 2009 batch of NMIMS, Bombay. With a major in Marketing & Operations, Srinath ensures that the various moving parts of a vacation are in sync. In his last role he built and implemented consumer acquisition and retention strategy for APAC & MEA for Western Union.
