Skills & Qualification: 

[ul][li]Experience with DB2 for z/OS, version 10 or higher [/li]
[li]Experience supporting a multi-terabyte environment [/li]
[li]Experience supporting high throughput OLTP applications [/li]
[li]Experience supporting applications within a DB2 data sharing environment [/li]
[li]Knowledge and conceptual understanding of a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) [/li]
[li]Logical and physical database design skills [/li]
[li]Proficiency in application related performance and tuning, including extensive SQL coding tuning [/li]
[li]Extensive Mainframe JCL experience [/li]
[li]Detailed experience with DB2 utilities and database maintenance processing [/li]
[li]Proficiency in the use of DB2 monitoring tools (Insight, Omegamon, Detector, Query Monitor, etc) [/li]
[li]Proficiency in the use of DB2 object management tools (RC/Migrator, IBM Object Compare, etc) [/li]
[li]Working knowledge of application development/debugging tools (Data Studio, Visual Explain, etc.) [/li]
[li]Must have coding experience, preferably in REXX. Experience in java and/or html is a major plus [/li]
[li]Knowledge of DB2 Connect and driver support [/li]
[li]Working knowledge of DB2 stored procedures [/li]
[li]Ability to resolve Production DB2 issues quickly and effectively [/li]
[li]Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for management reporting purposes [/li]
[li]Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills [/li]
[li]Off-hours oncall support required [/li][/ul]

[ul][li]Self-motivated individual and a team player [/li]
[li]Good verbal and written English communications skills [/li]
[li]8 years of relevant experience [/li]
