Primerica currently has an opening for a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer at our corporate office in Duluth, Georgia:
The Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer installs, tests, and maintains the z/OS operating system and related IBM and third party software products. Monitors and tunes infrastructure software, I/O subsystems, the MVS and USS environments of z/OS, and our DB2 and CICS subsystems to meet service level agreements and performance targets. Contributes to policy level IT standards and guidelines regarding software installation, system performance, system security requirements, and disaster recovery testing to maintain production and quality assurance LPAR’s, improve system operations, and maximize system resource utilization.
Education and Experience:
[ul][li]Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent education/experience is required[/li]
[li]5-7 years of experience[/li][/ul]
Required Skills:
[ul][li]Knowledge of using and maintaining most of the following IBM products: z/OS, CICS/TS, IBM Content Manager for z/OS, DB2 for z/OS, Enterprise COBOL, DFSMS, High Level Assembler, HSM, ISPF, JES2, TCPIP, Infoprint, QMF, REXX, RMF, SDSF, SMP/E, TSO/E, TDMF, USS, Tivoli Decision Support, SCLM, zSecure., RACF, and z/VM[/li]
[li]Verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving and interpersonal skills
[/li][/ul]
Desired Skills:
[ul][li]Knowledge of using and maintaining some of the following products: Zeke/Zara/Zebb, TMON’s, and ViewDirect from ASG; Chorus, CA-Vision, Aion, MIM, CA-View, Intertest, and OPS/MVS from CA; and SUSE zLinux
