Job Description
 
He is expected to participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution.  He will also participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendation; incorporate security requirements into design; provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. He will adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, he will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirement into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules.
 
He is expected to read and understand business requirements, write functional requirements, develop detailed technical designs, and build / unit / system test application code.
Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
Support the changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as prescribed by management.
 
The position requires the ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as to provide individual contribution.
 
The Mainfram Application Developer will utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures, and techniques. The candidate should be a motivated self starter who can quickly grasp current applications and new technologies.
 
 
Responsibilities
[ul][li]3-6 years of progressive experience in Information Technology.[/li]
[li]Application development  experience  in Design, coding, testing and debugging  with mainframe skills such as CICS, VSAM, COBOL, DB2, JCL, Zeke, File Aid, Changeman, AbendAid[/li]
[li]A Bachelor’s' or Master’s degree in Computer Science or other related discipline is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that is required for the specific job level.[/li]
[li]Experience with batch programming and online system with high availability, high throughput and quick response time.[/li]
[li]Functional experience with change management, implementation planning and release management[/li]
[li]Experience in code management and versioning methodologies.[/li]
[li]Analyze, design, develop, debug and unit test code for Java/J2EE application components.[/li]
[li]Review business requirement documents, complete project documentation according to SDLC requirements.[/li]
[li]Release management including implementation planning.[/li]
[li]Rapid resolution of issues impacting release[/li]
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.3 - 6 years of experience in Programming/Analysis or the equivalent combination of experience and education.   [/ul]
