Modis has an exciting opportunity for a Mainframe Programmer located in Southfield, MI.

Mainframe Programmer key responsibilities include: -
- Working with VOPS/VSC team lead and IT Interface teams to complete id and assess, analysis of existing MF systems, impact assessment, design and development of new code to support of various change requests
- Ability to analyze existing code (as limited documentation exists ) to create design specs
- Creation of technical specifications and facilitation of associated design reviews
- Identifying and involving any additional necessary business and IT SMEs to support project requirements
- Creating relevant Unified Solution Delivery Methodology (USDM) artifacts / deliverables such as current state analysis and business process flows
- Perform code changes as required to support the new/decommissioned functionality
Skills Required:
- Progressive responsibilities in IT including:
- 6+ yrs experience on mainframe development projects
- 6+ yrs experience in COBOL, DB2
- 6+ yrs experience in IMSB, IMS-DC
- 6+ yrs with System Analysis
- 5+ yrs experience in CLIST, JCL, VSAM, SKELS, CA7, QMF, SPUFI, SQL
- Experience with mainframe change control processes and tools (Endevor, ChangeMan, PUPS)
- Experience with Unified SDM process or equivalent
