Job Description:

• Product development experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality commercial enterprise products. This individual should ideally possess 5-10 years of experience working in an IBM ISV or OEM development environment.
  
  z/OS Internals experience architecting and complex operating system level solutions OR
  
  Good understanding of processing & troubleshooting of DB2 Utility Tools.
  
  The Lead/Senior Product Developer is a contributing member of the development team responsible for designing, developing troubleshooting and debugging of software programs, including, software tools, operating systems, and application programming interfaces, user interfaces, and cross platform communication. The role requires a good knowledge of product domain, the software development life cycle and the process involved in product development.

Desired Profile:

1. 10 years of experience with z/OS Processing Environment. At least 7 years IBM coding and development.
2. Extensive development experience using 64-bit Assembler and 31-bit Assembler programming languages. Experience with C & C is a plus
3. Highly developed mainframe technology skills
4. Coding experience in a multitasking, reentrant and/or sysplex environment
5. Self-starter able to work independently to provide quality solutions with little oversight.
6. Experienced creating functional designs/specifications from business requirements.
7. Experience with Mainframe environment (TSO/ISPF, JCL etc)
8. Operating system centric role
9. Excellent knowledge of z/OS structure and logic including knowledge of z/OS operating system internals
10. Experience in developing working code utilizing low-level operating system functions to accomplish a desired task
11. Understanding of zLinux and Unix System Services.

1. DB2 Centric Role:
2. Experience with DB2 internals or experience as a DB2 DBA and/or systems programmer.
3. Experience with DB2 Backup & Recovery procedures and processing.
