The future of mainframes is a topic that comes up every month or two. Have you searched the forum and read previous responses?
You seem to be thinking cloud computing will replace mainframes. IBM is spending a lot of time and money convincing people that the mainframe fits in the cloud.
Furthermore, a lot of IT leaders have expressed concern about the security of data in the cloud and hence a lot of mainframe processing may NEVER be moved to the cloud.
