File-AID from Compuware and File Manager from IBM.

Display only particular columns in File-Aid while we browse.

Hi,

I need to see some values in a file which has got so many fields. I want to display only particular columns in File-Aid, can we do that? Please suggest.

When you formatted-browse the file using File-Aid it assigns the column numbers (let's call it COLM) for display. In below description the columns would refer to COLM.
  1. Open the file in File Aid in browse mode, VFMT (F1).
  2. Write DISP ALL OFF at command line and press enter key.
  3. Now write DISP COLM you want to display in Command line and press enter key.
  4. Done.
