Repository for CICS SIT parameters and improvements.

Post by AnsulMainframe »

Hi,

My question might be vague but I am looking for a repository for CICS SIT parameters using which I can suggest or work towards the performance improvements. I goggled on this and find this https://www.google.co.in/webhp?sourceid ... nt&start=0 and found that there is a redbook named "System z Mean Time to Recovery Best Practices" ... and Chapter 6 can be of interest. While I do my reading, can someone more experienced please suggest a way to dwell in this better.

One of the problems I have in responding to this post is that, while SIT parameters do have a performance impact, their impact is far outweighed by other parameters. For example, using LSR pools can dramatically improve performance of applications using VSAM KSDS data sets with random reads. So looking only at the SIT parameters is very limiting, and giving advice about them means ignoring much that can be done to improve performance.
