I faced this abend S237 with reason code 08
I googled it said incorrect Dan name in header . How do I need to resolve this ?

Is the datset catalogued? Show us the complete code for that DDNAME.

Depending upon what you coded in your JCL, the problem is either (1) a mis-keyed volume serial if you keyed in the entire set of them, or (2) a system problem that needs your site support group to look at and correct. If you keyed in the volume serials for the tape data set, you probably got one wrong -- if not, your site support group needs to look at the issue and correct it. If you are relying on the catalog, your site support group needs to know about the issue so they can identify what caused the problem and correct it.

I contacted the admins the issue is resolved now , I will let you know what the problem is once I get to know
