Hi,
I got a requirement to code some new jobs, in them many GDG generations are created in many steps. Now, how to check if the GDG is defined for a list of GDG bases? I've a huge list and want to know if there is any way which can help me ...
How can I check if GDG bseses are defined?

GDG bases are part of the catalog -- the easiest way would be to attempt to add a +1 generation; if that fails the base probably doesn't exist (unless you get a security error). If the base has at least one generation defined to it, you could use DCOLLECT to look at the defined data sets. Otherwise, manual use of ISPF 3.4 is probably going to be your best bet.

I'm thiking to use LISTCAT. I'll use a single step and put all the bases in there but I'm not sure if some base is not existing what to expect as output?

Why don't you set one up and then try again and then see what happens?
