How Java communicates with Mainframe.

Post by Pravin Shetty » Thu May 14, 2015 5:19 pm

Hi ,

I work on Java Socket programming to communicate with Mainframe system. I connect the Mainframe system using Socket class in JAVA. This all works well and ineracts all well with the Mainframe, with a java input and output stream. But I don't know how this all is working ? Can anyone of you please explain how it is working? What architecture is making it work? How mainframe accepts my request and provides the output ?

Thanks and Regards,

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort 8-)
