Can TSO logon messages be stored?

Post by rickron »

Hi,

I received a TSO message or messages when I logged onto the system using TSO. There was some message which was like a broadcast message but out of sheer habit I hit the enter multiple times and it disappears before I could read it.

Does anyone know of a way to either store these messages automatically, so they can be retrieved at a later time?

Thanks.

There is a TSO command, LISTBC, which will list the broadcast messages. If the message was sent about a job success or failure, however, you're probably not going to see that again.

If I am not wrong you could check SYS1.BROADCAST dataset . It should have the message. Also most of the sites restricts access to SYS1 dataset
