Apply SRCHFOR on specific PDSs only.

Hi,

I've used the SRCHFOR command in past. In that I'd go to ISPF 3.4 and list the PDSs with a given qualifier. Once the PDSs are listed, I'll issue SRCHFOR and get desired results. But if I want to restrict the SRCHFOR command to be applied only on something like that 1. PDS starts with 'DB2*' , RECFM/LRECL = FB/80, can that be done?

In other words, I want to search the string in a subset of datasets listed in ISPF 3.4, while ignoring other datasets; can that be done?

Select the dataset you want and issue SRCHFOR on the member selection list. There's lots of places you can use SRCHFOR, it doesn't have to be from 3.4.
