Deleting 'MIGRAT2' dataset with HDELETE does not work.

Post by S Pulsuri »

Hi all,

I am in need to delete some datasets. These datasets are the GDG generations and under volume in ISPF 3.4 they show as 'MIGRAT2.

To delete them, I used 'HDELETE', but instead of deleting them I got the message that "datasets are not backed up /migrated". I have also tried HLIST and then delete but I still get the same issue.

Can anyone of you please help me to correctly do this.

Something may be corrupted. Talk to your storage admin.
