i remember it from the 90ties ...

it was the companion product of info/sys

the info/sys database provided by ibm was the only way for the customer to research problem reports, apars, ptfs

irrespective of the point whether they were supplied at compiler or binder does not matter where and how the options/parms are specified/provided DO matter the compiler does not know about the binder and the binder does not know about the compiler the compiler does not care about the binder options...

Tables are different but when the data is copied for testing, it happens.
cleanup both tables and ... do not copy
manage the tables separately

To this one of our senior guy said, the record was not corrupt, instead the file missed its 'end-of-marker' and so failed. ..... We did not hear about this as the job executed successfully after removing the record. THE RECORD WAS CORRUPTED a missing - as Your idiot senior says - End of File marker...

while COBOL is mostly platform independent, the part concerning pointer is not
