I think it's a trick question and interviewer wanted to enquire if you know that the question itself is not that correctly worded. Perhaps he wanted to know that you interrupt in between and say reference modification might do it.

I'm trying to understand the concept actually. At times it's advisable to have the dynamic call and other its advisable to have static, that made to ask this question. Possibly the question did not make any practical sense but it does help me...

I realized that mention about terminologies that way was not correct but I meant that technologies used on mainframes and Windows technologies. What is the advantage of mainframe for a company?

hi,

For a company to have a mainframes - what are the advantages of mainframe? Why are they still using mainframes? Why don't they switch over to latest technologies like j2ee, .net?
