Need logic to make first letter caps?

Hi,

Using REXX I need to make all the first letter CAPS, of a word in a sentence to be caps. For example, if input is:

Code: Select all

this is example.
Output:

Code: Select all

This is example.
I thought of using PARSE UPPER but it will convert the whole string to uppercase. Can someone please provide a pointer.

Re: Cloud computing - a buzz word or a substance?

Thanks Robert - really appreciate your reply.

Experience certainly does help but as the situation goes around with less number of openings in Mainframe area this kind of thinking , as in my question, comes to us new comers.

Cloud computing - a buzz word or a substance?

Hi,

I've working with mainframes for quite some time now and am not sure if I should be afraid of cloud computing as there is buzz about this in market!

Do you think that cloud computing impact a mainframe-developer work and the old way of doing coding in COBOL, JCL etc. will go away?

Hi William,

I should have said "read" instead of "got". However, I can get the links if you want me to but some of them are from other forums so mentionijng them here is not correct, I think.

Difference among COPY, INCLUDE and ++INCLUDE.

Hi all,

What is the difference between COPY and INCLUDE and ++INCLUDE. I was under the impressions that ++INCLUDE was obsolete.

Thanks,

XREF in file-aid?

Hello,

Could some one please tell me what is XREF in file-aid? And when we use it? I see the reference about it on the File-Aid screen and F1 does not seem to help much.

Thanks

And for examples on batch File-Aid you can also see this thread, which is an excellent collection of File-Aid commands: http://ibm-mainframes.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=57
