Is it possible to transfer the dataset from my mainframe to desktop using FTP and just using the 3270 session only and not using any other command. Can we do that or we need to always do it in batch like a traditional method?

Is there any way to transmit a VSAM file from one region to other? As of now we repro it to a flat file and transmit (XMIT) the resulted file to other region. In another region we rebuild it. But it's too time consuming with bug files. Can there be an alternate way of doing it?

Hi, When I use ISPF 3.13 it shows the comparison between two files. To see to the right of the screen I press F11 and it shows like this: TYPE LEN N-LN# O-LN# MAT= 9 RPL= 1 00005 00005 What does MAT and RPL mean? Are they short for MATCH and REPLACE? But if so what does MAT=9 mean? Thanks you.
