I am trying that and have asked the client for the test server details. But will it require to have Connect: Direct on the windows side too?
Yes I meant "securely transfer a data set". I thought I was making it more clear.

Can Connect: Direct mimic SFTP?
Hi,
Can Connect: Direct mimic SFTP?
Actually, we need to transfer a file to another server, which is not running Connect: Direct. Can I send the file using C:D to that server using NDMBATCH?
I looked at the documents and still looking but not sure if this is allowed.

Re: Colored code within Code.
No - but you can highlight what you want by cutting into a text editor and the use some method to highlight what you want e,g, a '<===' after a line or insert a line and underscore some words and then pasting into the reply box and whacking code tags around it. Example: highlighting a line <=== th...

XMIT sends email multiple times.
Hi, I have used the following XMIT commands to send the email. I used these commands from REXX. I am not sure why but this is sending every e-mail 2 times. But when I look in to the log to check for any hints, the log of XMIT shows only one entry per email. "XMIT "MAILSTO" MSGDSN('&...

This is a term I hear in my office too. I have searched on the internet it many times but I do not find any references from IBM but I find some from some other companies. Does IBM also have some articles on this topic?

There is a nice information in this topic. But is this first time IBM using such icons; have not noticed such a thing before.

sequential or indexed dataset for Java.
Hi,
In Java, do we have a VSAM-like sequential or indexed dataset library? I'm thinking about reading or writing from and to flat files.

VARCHAR considerations in DB2.
Hi,
In COBOL-SQL program, while inserting data into a VARCHAR field, is it necessary to populate the length host variable, before insert?
Is not it that DB2 automatically stores the length?
