oh sorry for the confusion it might created. What I meant was G in front of the member of a PDS and not of PDS.

What further info you might need Robert? But I understand the way you explain it. But for test and QA testing we might need such information, even there it can not be done?

Try this //STEP01 EXEC PGM=IDCAMS //SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=* //SYSOUT DD SYSOUT=* //SYSIN DD * LISTCAT ENT('<VSAM FILE NAME>') ALL /* I know LISTCAT but it does not talk about any 'creator' of it? Where should I look for this info? Or you mean something else by this job?

Hi, I over heard that if IAMSMFVS program processes SMF data it can flag VSAM dataset with very high activity. It can also locate the VSAM files which are using a lot of DASD space. But I could not figure out a way to execute this program. Is it restricted to be executed by programmer by chance? Can...

Can you tell if there is a way to tell who has created a given VSAM file? Like the way we can find it for PDS using "G" in front of the PDS. Can we produce similar results for VSAM too? Please let me know.
