Probably you want to know which DISP can be used in two steps where at one step it works in OUTPUT mode and in other step as INPUT: It’s MOD but keep in mind when you will run job second time first step will append data at bottom instead of writing altogether new from first line

Is the current package discussion applicable in foreign countries too? I heard there they have budget for current job and irrespective of your previous salary, the correct salary is offered. Could someone please share thoughts from overseas?

Yes, Thanks. I did saw that but why do we need an OPTFILE, why can't we pass it using a normal dataset like I'd for a program where I need to pass more than 100 characters. Or is it specific for compiler step? And I found that with JES3, we can pass more characters in PARM, I lost the link and searc...

Why do we use OPTFILE.
Hi,
During an analysis I found the use of OPTFILE. Which is used in passing the compiler parameters to the compiler step in the endeavor processor. Could they not pass it using the PARM or a dataset used for PARM?

It was a COBOL program. It was an error with correct compiler option at the time of compile. Thanks.

If BLKSIZE(0) is specified, the system will determine the optimal block size based on the maximum record length (LRECL) and the physical characteristics of the disk, or approximately half of a physical track.
