Actually, separate counts are easy (divide total number of records by seven for the first and 10 for the second). There's even a f...

Re: Can we append a constant number to records after an interval?
We are using DFSORT. I would like to add 2 bytes to the record length. I did not think about 70th record while posting but appending both values, 4 bytes, will be fine.

Can I append a constant number of two digits at the end of every 7th and 10th records. I also want to count them, is it possible? If...

DSNDB06 and DSNDB07?
Hi, Can anyone tell me what is DSNDB06 and DSNDB07? what I read is that - DSNDB06 is DB2 catalog database and DSNDB07 is a work file database but contains no permanent data, and can be deleted and redefined with the new qualifier. But is this only what they are for? Or can there be more use of them?

Get the last reference date of migrated dataset.
Hi, Is there any way using which without recalling a migrated data-set we can get the "last reference date" of a migrated dataset? I tried using LISTCAT, using this I'm getting only the Creation & Expiration dates. I need to know if this can be done using REXX as well, but not sure if ...

Re: AIX in KSDS VSAM.
Thanks Robert. As you indicated about the formula, I look back and see that this might be correct: RECSZ= 5 + AIXKL + (n x BCKL). Where AIXKL is the alternate-key length. (See the KEYS parameter.) BCKL is the base cluster's prime-key length. n=1 when the UNIQUEKEY parameter is specified. n is equal ...
